Job Description:

As a Veterinarian Surgeon specializing in Orthopedic or Ophthalmologic surgery, you will play a crucial role in the clinic. Your primary responsibility will be to provide advanced surgical care to our animal patients. You will work closely with the team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for the patients. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and treating complex surgical cases, as well as providing consultations and follow-up care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Surgical Procedures: Perform advanced orthopedic or ophthalmologic surgeries, including pre-operative planning, intraoperative management, and post-operative care.
2. Diagnosis and Treatment: Conduct thorough examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans for a wide range of orthopedic or ophthalmologic issues.
3. Consultations: Provide expert consultations to pet owners, explaining surgical options, potential risks, and expected outcomes.
4. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
5. Patient Care: Monitor and manage the recovery of surgical patients, providing post-operative care and rehabilitation plans.
6. Continuing Education: Stay updated with the latest advancements in veterinary surgery, particularly in orthopedic or ophthalmologic fields, and incorporate new techniques into practice.
7. Client Communication: Maintain clear and compassionate communication with pet owners, addressing their concerns and providing updates on their pet’s progress.
8. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all surgical procedures and patient interactions.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a veterinarian surgeon, with a focus on orthopedic or ophthalmologic surgery.
• Valid veterinary license in the UAE or eligibility to obtain one.
• Proven expertise in performing advanced surgical procedures in the chosen specialty.
• Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
