Our client is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join their culinary team, supporting the Head Chef and contributing to a high-end dining experience. This role requires expertise in continental cuisine and the ability to manage kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be adept at managing staff, assisting with menu preparation, and maintaining the quality standards of a premium restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Menu Development Assistance: Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, focusing on continental flavors.
- Team Supervision: Oversee kitchen staff and provide leadership in the Head Chef’s absence.
- Quality Control: Ensure all dishes meet established quality standards, from flavor to presentation.
- Training & Mentorship: Train junior kitchen staff on continental techniques and safety protocols.
- Organizational Excellence: Maintain a clean, efficient kitchen environment in line with safety and health regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Sous Chef with a strong foundation in continental cuisine.
- Culinary Skills: Knowledge of European culinary techniques and flavor profiles.
- Leadership Abilities: Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Preferred Certification: Culinary degree or professional chef certification.
