The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation carried out more than 560 field inspection visits to follow up on the commitment of the private sector establishments to apply the precautionary measures stipulated in the national program to support the stability of the labor market launched by the ministry at the end of last March in coordination with the National Authority for Emergency and Crisis Management of private disasters within the framework of a series of measures Preventive measures taken at the country level to confront the “emerging corona virus” and limit its spread, in a way that ensures the continuity of doing business.
The Ministry clarified that field visits carried out at the state level in partnership with the relevant federal and local government agencies aimed to ensure the provision of adequate spaces for physical separation in the workplaces and housing and bus transport of workers in accordance with the provisions of precautionary measures as well as to ensure that facilities take preventive measures and health controls such as providing Checkpoints to measure the temperature of workers and dealers, as well as provide sterilizers and other health and safety facilities.
It is mentioned that, in the light of the precautionary measures, the private sector establishments were obligated to reduce the attendance of the number of employees, by not exceeding the percentage of those whose work requires being in the workplace to 30% of the total number of employees at the same establishment, as well as reducing the percentage of customers in service delivery centers by no more than 30% of Capacity, with the exception of facilities engaged in a number of activities, including infrastructure projects, catering, telecommunications, energy, health, education, the banking sector, food and hospitality industries, sanitary ware manufacturing and cleaning companies.
It was also obligated to take into account the establishment of a mechanism to organize trips to move from labor housing to work areas and vice versa, taking into account the fact that workers within the means of transport do not exceed 25% of their capacity, while emphasizing the existence of a safe distance between workers, as well as preventing gatherings, and stopping all activities ( Cultural, sports, and social) in the areas of labor housing, and reducing the number of workers at the time of eating meals in labor accommodation, and leaving a safe distance between the worker and the other with a minimum of two meters.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation indicated that field inspection visits showed the awareness of employers and their awareness of the importance of adhering to precautionary measures for its great role in protecting workers and dealers from coronavirus infection, as well as the commitment of most of the facilities visited to apply remote work procedures for workers whose job duties do not require their presence in work location.
It is mentioned that the remote work system gives priority to a number of groups to perform its job tasks remotely and these categories include pregnant women, workers over the age of fifty-five years, people of determination, workers who suffer from respiratory illnesses or chronic diseases, and workers who have children in the ninth grade Minimum, provided that coordination is done with the human resource departments in their facilities to approve their work remotely.
The Ministry confirmed that field visits also aimed at educating employers and workers of the need to adhere to the procedures to prevent corona virus, within the framework of the awareness plan that the ministry
