Job Description

The purpose of this business leadership position is to drive the performance of the Business Unite in UAE, in order to increase market share, boost revenue and grow net profit, while also delighting customers with quality service and timely delivery.
The position requires an energetic, experienced Regional Operations Manager with the enthusiasm to inspire assigned sales and operations teams and to establish and nurture a diagnostic selling proposition for the BU. The position requires a solid understanding of key sales, business, financial and operational indicators and will proactively ensure that they maintain alignment with BU targets. Reports to General Manager.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading all sales, marketing and operations activities in the assigned territory, including budget setting (in conjunction with BU leadership) and monitoring performance against budget monthly.
• Lead, inspire and mentor the assigned sales team to develop diagnostic/solution selling relationships and obtain and retain detailed application, solutions and product knowledge
• Transform the business model from the current trading-based model to a turn key solutions model, while maintaining existing Principal relationships
• Establish and foster an outstanding working relationship between clients and BU in relation to sales, marketing and planning activities, as well as operational delivery.
• Implement effective customer relationship management within BU to track all sales activities, enquiries & sales leads, open quotations and project sales.
• Maintain collaborative and supportive relationship with relevant Key Account Managers.
• Understand the market and competitive environment in the assigned territory.
• Ensure that BU employees receive targeted development, learning and training interventions in a structured manner.
• Working with sales team and colleagues to identify the opportunity for and to lead cross selling Initiatives.
• Collaboration with the BU teams throughout the region in order to maximise market awareness and lead generation opportunities.
• Have an entrepreneurial approach in seeking and developing new business opportunities to meet the ever-changing business environment.
• Establish plans for personal and team development to enhance solution selling skills and operational delivery

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 8-15 Years experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably with an Engineering Services / Consultancy organization with 10 or more years of relevant experience in a Business Development Sales & Marketing role.
• Experience in managing international client accounts highly desirable.
• Graduate/Post-Graduate from reputed academic institution in Mechanical / Chemical / Environmental Engineering.
• Added Business Management qualification would be desirable.
• Personable, with very strong communication skills, and possess the desire to lead an aggressive business expansion in a fast paced and dynamic market.
• Possess good relationships with clients’ decision makers at oil & gas companies.
• Ability to grow and maintain relationship with Clients.
• Strong interest in a business role and the desire to develop and/or demonstrate commercial skills including customer relationship management, team consensus building, contract negotiations and the ability to close deals.
• Strong financial skills critical for deal development.
• Successful track record of leading sales initiatives to exceed revenue targets.
• Strong Leadership, 100% Business Development, Performance Management experience.
