Job Description

Due to an incremental expansion in our team, we are hiring a Business Development Manager to nurture a mix of existing clientele and new sales business territories both locally and internationally. To excel in this role, you should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality, and have a hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls and inbound warm leads.

Responsibilities
• Increase sales derived from both existing and new clients.
• Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets.
• Customer retention by means of increasing the value of current customers while still attracting new ones.
• Developing business proposals for clients.
• Negotiate pricing with customers, and suppliers
• Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these.
• Develop and plan sales campaigns
• Acquire and manage new international brands within our Group.
• Create a sales pipeline for new products
• Able to comprehend and attain knowledge of new businesses within a short period of time
• Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events locally and internationally.
• Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management/the board of directors
• Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.
• Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills on each project/brand that the employee provides the company with from time to time whilst following up that the team members continue with the upholding of that same product.
• Liaise with the finance team, warehousing, and logistics departments as appropriate regarding proposals that the employee will provide

Job Qualifications and Experience
• Proven track record of acquiring new sales from new customers
• Experience in sales, marketing, or related field.
• Must have a pleasant personality, be smart, and have strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field would be considered as an asset
